Research-driven
optimisation, grounded
in operational reality.
Who We Are
The Routing Lab is a European, research-driven software lab focused on turning optimisation research into practical tools for delivery networks.
We believe technology should help people make better operational decisions – grounded in evidence, not assumptions.
Our Background
Applied Research and Consultancy for Logistics Networks
Founded by a team of computer scientists and data engineers, The Routing Lab grew from academic research in optimisation and network efficiency.
Our mission: translate research into practical tools that solve the everyday challenges of logistics networks.
We work at the intersection of academic rigour and operational practicality, bridging the gap between theory and execution.
Our Journey
A steady path from research to real-world testing and deployment.
Technology Development
Core optimisation frameworks designed and tested through academic research, supported by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) with over €600,000 in funding.
Field Tests
Early live trials with logistics partners, validating models for routing, network efficiency and resource allocation under real operating conditions.
Product Development
Selected research outcomes evolved into AutoHiver – a dedicated platform for route optimisation and last-mile delivery planning, built on the Lab's broader logistics research base.
Pilot Expansion
Ongoing pilots and collaborations across Europe, testing AutoHiver in diverse delivery contexts while continuing research into network-level optimisation and future logistics intelligence.
Our Awards
